From the outside, Mozi looks like a traditional barbershop with that British gentleman feel. In fact, you can actually get a haircut here. It has a retro feel with old-style leather barber chairs and traditional tools.
However, those of us who enjoy a tipple will be more intrigued by what lies at the back of the barbershop. There’s a secret door hidden in a bookshelf that takes you through to the hidden bar.
The bar has a very different look and feel to the traditional barbershop. It’s warm, cozy, and very relaxing. You will need to reserve a space otherwise it’s unlikely that you’ll get in. The bar does get busy and can be quite loud at peak times, this isn’t the place for a quiet drink.
There’s a standard range of spirits and wines, plus all the popular cocktails. The Aviation and Ramos Gin Fizz are highly recommended. They also serve full meals here, although the portions tend to be quite small for the money.
Prices: Expect to pay around NT$450 for a decent cocktail.
