Need to cash in that unused watch catching dust on your shelf? Or those old currencies your grandad found? You need a pawn shop. Unfortunately Dusk Til Pawn in Manchester’s Northern Quarter isn’t quite what it seems.
The TV’s, instruments and ‘PAWN SHOP‘ sign in the window might give the impression that you can trade in old valuables. But head inside and you’ll find a contemporary upmarket cocktail bar that has no interest in your unwanted items.

The bar doesn’t have a huge number of tables, whenever I’ve visited I usually end up standing at the bar which is probably why my glass gets refilled so quickly!
The drinks are freshly prepared with a menu keeping with the pawn shop theme. Cocktails include Rolex in the Deep, a rum based concoction with a butterscotch taste and the bitter tasting Brass Balls, a twist on a Whiskey old-fashioned with marmalade and ginger flavours. Of course there’s a good old Pawn-star Martini, only here the Prosecco shot comes as a sorbet for a nice twist.
Cocktails come in around £7 each but if that’s not up your street, bottled lager is available for £4 and a wide selection of Gins and Whiskeys.
There is a free to play retro jukebox in the corner with all sorts of retro classics to keep you moving, when it’s working that is!

How to find it?
